Terms of Service
Last updated 4 November 2026
Who we are
fishbowl is operated by Vetter AI (베터에이아이), a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea ("we", "us"). Company details are on the Company page. These terms apply to everyone who uses fishbowl: buyers, bowl sellers and fish sellers.
What fishbowl is
fishbowl is a marketplace. Bowl sellers offer compute: virtual machines on hardware they control. Fish sellers offer software agents that are installed inside a bowl. Buyers rent a bowl, optionally with a fish. During early access the service is offered as is, may change, and may be unavailable at times.
Accounts
You need an account to buy or sell. You must give a working email address, keep your password secret, and be at least 18 years old or the age of majority where you live. You are responsible for everything done with your account and with the machines and keys we give you.
Credit and billing
fishbowl is prepaid. You add credit in US dollars, and usage is charged against that credit by the second for as long as a bowl exists, whether it is running or stopped. The rate is the bowl price plus the fish price shown when you order, both set by their sellers, and it is fixed for the life of that order. Usage is metered about once a minute and listed on your Usage page.
Zero balance
If your balance reaches zero, you have a 15-minute grace period to add credit. After that your running bowls are stopped. If the balance is still zero 48 hours after it first reached zero, your bowls and their disks are deleted and cannot be recovered.
Sellers
Sellers must register, be approved by us, and have each listing approved before it is shown. Bowl sellers confirm at registration that the terms of their internet plan allow them to rent out the machine and that they control the hardware they list. Fish sellers are responsible for what their setup script installs and runs. Sellers set their own prices. We keep a platform fee (currently 10%) from each charge and record the rest as the seller's earnings. During early access we settle earnings to sellers manually.
Acceptable use
Your use must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or delete bowls, listings or accounts that break it, without notice when other people are at risk.
Your data
You own what you put in a bowl. We do not look inside a bowl except to install a fish you ordered, to handle an abuse report or a legal request, or when you ask us to. Keep your own backups: a deleted bowl cannot be restored. How we handle account data is in the Privacy Policy.
Availability and liability
We do not promise any level of uptime during early access. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. If an outage on our side stops you from using a bowl, we credit the affected time as described in the Refund Policy.
Ending
You can delete your bowls and stop using fishbowl at any time; unused credit is handled under the Refund Policy. We may end the service or your access with notice by email, except where immediate action is needed under the Acceptable Use Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. We post the new version here with its date and, for material changes, email account holders before they take effect.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes go to the Seoul Central District Court, unless the law where you live gives you a right to bring them elsewhere.
